A. Locate a Section of the Cold Water Main
Depending on the unit, and the type and diameter of your incoming water line, you may need up to 26″ or as little as 7″. Specifics will be provided in the installation manual or by speaking with your residential specialist.
B and C. Wrap the Signal Wire
Using a wire tie, secure one end of the signal wire to the incoming water line. Wrap the signal wire tightly around the pipe, with each wrap touching the next. Secure the other end of the wrap with another wire tie.
D. Mount the Control Panel
Drill holes into wall or mounting surface. Insert the 2 screws into the bracket holes at the top of the control panel and tighten. The control panel is waterproof and can be mounted indoors or outdoors.
E. Attach Signal Wire to the Cord from the Control Panel
Place one end of the signal wire and one end of the control panel wire into the wire connector. Squeeze connector closed with pliers. Repeat for the other end of signal and control panel wires.
F. Plug It In
Power and descaling lights will illuminate.

Called today for info, spoke with Aaron Kimble about your 2200 model. Must tell you that Mr. Kimble was most gracious and informative…an outstanding representative for your company. I feel he is to be commended. Thank you.
Thank you for your feedback! We have a great team here at EasyWater, and we’ll make sure Aaron knows about your kind words.
How much does it cost?
Hi Al, we have several EasyWater models, ranging in price from $849 to $1979 when self-installed. The best EasyWater system for your home will depend on several factors, including the extent of your hard water problems, and the type and size of the plumbing in your home. It’s best to have a discussion with one of our residential specialists, who will ask simple but specific questions about your home in order to arrive at the best fit. You can reach us at 877-708-3338, or click the link above to have a live webchat with us.
I have black pvc pipe can I still use easywater
Hi John, you can absolutely install EasyWater on black PVC pipe. The post Can I Install EasyWater On Plastic Pipe? will give you more information, and will link to our installation manual for further instruction.
We have a well & hard water. Most of my indoor plumbing is CPVC. The hard water eats thru the copper pipe we had originally installed in the house. I need info on what size unit to order, etc.
Ed Crosby
Hi Ed, it’s best to speak with us further about the best EasyWater unit for your needs. There can be several reasons why water would cause copper pipes to deteriorate, and a conversation about your plumbing history and what you notice about your water will tell us a lot more about what’s going on. We have removed your phone number for your privacy, but we will be contacting you very soon.
I purchased an easy water 2200 and installed it yesterday. When I brushed my teeth last night, my water tasted yucky. Could it be that my water was already descaling and dumping junk into my water?
Hi Dana, EasyWater will start to descale your pipes very quickly, so it’s likely that you have started to experience the descaling process. Scale is made up of calcium and magnesium minerals, which most people don’t consider bad-tasting. Has your water started to have a mineral taste, or would you describe the taste another way?
My water coming out of the well has a 4.4 pH. The water deteriorates the copper plumbing. Will easywater help this?
Hi Mark, your water is quite acidic! The EasyWater Acid Shield will raise the pH of your water, neutralizing the acidity and protecting your home’s pipes and plumbing. Give us a call at 1(877) 708-3338 for more information, and to be connected to a dealer in your area.
